Shearwell Stick & App Download 

You will require:

• Shearwell RFID Stick Reader
• Android/iOS mobile device with the Shearwell Counter App

Download the Shearwell �Sheep Counter� app from the app store (Android and/or iOS).

Turn on the Shearwell RFID Stick Reader (ensure the batteries are fully charged); go into the BLUETOOTH settings on the phone/tablet and pair the shearwell stick with the phone:

Open the app; click on Scan Animals

Turn on the Shearwell stick; click on the connect button; select the Shearwell stick from the list of paired available BLUETOOTH devices

Once the stick is paired you will see a label saying connected on the phone and the reader 1 label will be replaced with the serial number of the stick reader.

Click on the New Group Label and enter a group number (NOTE: this must match up with the corresponding LOT number in NAS!)

Click OK on the app and start scanning sheep with the stick reader; you must enter a new group every time you start on a new lot/pen of sheep; if you do not do this the tags will not match with the lots in NAS!

Before downloading into NAS; click on SAVE DATA on the main menu of the Sheep Counter app.

[update 09/21] - The app used on Android devices has changed and now export screen looks like this:

It is crucial to not select anything on this screen (if you do, the export file will be a html file). Send the export to the laptop/pc over bluetooth and carry on as per the rest of instructions.

One you have finished scanning the sheep EID tags plug the mobile/tablet into a laptop running NAS. You may be promted to allow acces to phone data; click ALLOW

Browse to the data folder on the device:

We recommend that you copy the file to your local PC In NAS; go into the required sale; then:

Click on �From File With Pen Nos; browse to the downloaded file, select it and click on the Open button.

The read tags and lot numbers will show:

Click on the Save button to import the data into NAS � when finished it will report
