It is possible to configure windows to set specific set of DNS entries depending on network i.e. you can setup your home network to always use one set of DNS servers i.e. 1.1.1.1 and 9.9.9.9 and when connecting to your Office WiFi to receive DNS assigned by the DHCP.
Sometimes something goes wrong and the settings are applies too all network, even when the configuration shows that DNS is assigned by DHCP:
This setting is stored in registry, under:
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\Interfaces\{guid}
There will be multiple entries (one for each network adapter) find the one in question and remove ProfileNameServer entry. The DNS will be changed straight away.
